My sincere appreciation to Sibu Digital Innovation Hub for organising two back-to-back AI training sessions specially designed for teachers. It was encouraging to see educators come together to explore how artificial intelligence can support teaching, learning, and administrative work in practical ways.

Across both sessions, the focus was on content creation for teaching and learning, using several AI systems that I have built and shared freely with the teachers and participants. The goal was simple: to show how AI can help educators create teaching materials faster, organise information more effectively, and spend more time on what truly matters — engaging with students.

During the workshops, I also demonstrated how teachers can build their own AI-powered support systems for everyday administrative tasks using Google AI Studio. With the right approach, AI can assist teachers in managing repetitive work such as organising documents, preparing reports, or structuring lesson materials.

These tools are not meant to replace teachers. Instead, they act as assistive systems that reduce administrative burden, allowing educators to focus more on teaching, mentoring, and guiding their students.

One message I emphasised throughout the sessions is that AI is no longer a luxury — it has become a necessity.

In the past, adopting new technologies often felt optional. Today, however, the pace of technological change means that individuals and organisations must continuously adapt in order to remain relevant.

This is not the time to spend excessive energy debating whether AI brings more benefits or risks. Like many transformative technologies before it, AI will inevitably become part of our daily workflows.

What matters now is straightforward: equip ourselves with the knowledge and skills to use AI effectively.

Those who learn to work alongside these tools will find new opportunities to innovate, improve productivity, and enhance learning experiences. Those who ignore them risk falling behind in an increasingly technology-driven environment.

It was truly encouraging to see so many educators eager to learn and experiment with these new capabilities. When teachers embrace innovation, they help shape a future where students are better prepared for the rapidly evolving digital economy.

Thank you once again to Sibu Digital Innovation Hub for creating this platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
