I am pleased to share that we have successfully delivered a 3-day Complete Basic-to-Advanced Desktop Power BI Training for participants from various consulting companies in Kuching. The training was proudly organised by Chemsain Konsultant, bringing together professionals who are increasingly required to transform complex datasets into clear and compelling insights.

Over the three days, the training covered the full spectrum of Power BI capabilities — from foundational data modelling to advanced analytics and visualisation techniques. The goal was to equip participants with the skills needed to convert raw data into meaningful dashboards that support better decision-making and stronger data-driven presentations.
One of the most exciting developments we discussed during the training is how Power BI has recently integrated powerful new features powered by Large Language Model (LLM) AI assistance.
These capabilities significantly enhance the way analysts and consultants work with data. With AI assistance, users can now receive intelligent support for tasks such as:

Writing DAX formulas more efficiently
Generating and optimising M code for data transformation
Creating visual charts and dashboards faster
Performing advanced analytics with less technical friction
This evolution represents a major step forward in the field of business intelligence and analytics. Instead of spending excessive time writing complex code or manually building models, analysts can now focus more on interpreting insights and telling compelling data stories.
Throughout the training sessions, participants had the opportunity to apply what they learned through hands-on exercises. The final outputs from the workshop — showcased in the first and final images from the session — demonstrate how quickly professionals can develop professional-grade dashboards once they understand the full capabilities of Power BI.

What was particularly encouraging was the feedback shared by several participants. Many noted that Power BI expertise is increasingly being requested by major clients, including organisations such as Petronas, as companies place greater emphasis on high-quality data visualisation and storytelling in their reporting processes.
This trend highlights an important shift in today’s professional landscape. Data alone is no longer enough. What matters is the ability to translate complex information into clear, impactful narratives that support strategic decisions.
Training initiatives like this are essential in preparing professionals to operate in an environment where data-driven communication and analytics capabilities are becoming core business skills.
My sincere appreciation goes to Chemsain Konsultant for organising such a valuable programme and bringing together participants eager to deepen their capabilities in data analytics and business intelligence.
It was truly rewarding to see professionals from different consulting backgrounds collaborate, learn, and apply these tools to elevate the quality of their work.
