It was truly an honour to be invited to deliver another session of “Technical Report Writing with AI”, this time for Sime Darby, one of Malaysia’s most established conglomerates, with a history dating back to 1910. The training was conducted through Chemsain Konsultant Sdn Bhd, bringing together professionals eager to explore how artificial intelligence can enhance the way technical reports are written and managed.

The increasing interest from large corporations signals an important shift. Artificial Intelligence is no longer limited to startups or technology companies — it is now steadily penetrating established conglomerates across Malaysia as organisations seek ways to improve efficiency, productivity, and knowledge management.

During the session, the focus was on demonstrating how AI can support professionals in producing structured, clear, and well-organised technical reports. With the right approach, AI tools can assist in tasks such as organising complex information, structuring technical documentation, summarising data, and improving the clarity of written communication.

For companies that handle large volumes of technical documentation, these capabilities can significantly improve workflow efficiency and reporting quality, allowing professionals to focus more on analysis and decision-making rather than spending excessive time drafting and formatting reports.

Opportunities like this are particularly meaningful because they create a two-way exchange of knowledge. While I have the opportunity to share insights on how AI can support professional workflows, engagements with top-tier organisations also allow me to deepen my understanding of the most current, practical, and high-demand skills required by industry today.

And one principle I always hold onto is simple: once I learn, I teach. Every insight gained from industry engagement is brought back into the classroom and shared with students, ensuring that what they learn reflects the realities of the modern workplace.

The training also took place at a remarkable venue — the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), widely regarded as Malaysia’s premier golf and country club. Known for its world-class championship course and distinguished membership, the venue provided a memorable setting for an engaging and productive session.

Experiences like this continue to reinforce how rapidly the professional landscape is evolving. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into corporate workflows, organisations that embrace these tools early will be better positioned to enhance productivity, innovation, and knowledge management.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to this ongoing transformation and look forward to more collaborations that help organisations navigate the future of AI-enabled work.
