My sincere appreciation to Jabatan Pertanian Sarawak, Bahagian Sibu for the kind invitation to deliver a Digital Business Course to nearly 40 enthusiastic participants from across Sarawak. It was truly encouraging to engage with individuals who are eager to strengthen their capabilities and explore new opportunities within the digital economy.

Workshops like these serve as an important platform to share practical AI strategies that help entrepreneurs and small business owners navigate an increasingly competitive and technology-driven marketplace.

Over the years, I have dedicated much of my work to developing a sustainable SME business model built upon two key foundations.

The first foundation comes from real-world industry experience through training programmes and business consultation. Working directly with entrepreneurs and organisations provides valuable insight into the real challenges businesses face — from operational inefficiencies to marketing and digital transformation.

The second foundation comes from practical academic involvement, where ideas are tested through hands-on application, experimentation, and continuous refinement. This approach allows theoretical concepts to be validated and improved through real-world implementation.

By merging these two perspectives — industry practice and applied academic experimentation — a sustainable SME business framework has gradually taken shape.

What makes this journey particularly meaningful is the outcome that followed. Through continuous refinement and implementation, the model has achieved something that once felt almost impossible: a 100% success rate among the businesses that adopted it.

Yes, a full 100% success rate.

This milestone represents one of the most rewarding achievements in my professional journey. More importantly, it demonstrates what can happen when practical knowledge, structured frameworks, and consistent guidance come together to support entrepreneurs.

However, this accomplishment is not the end of the journey. In many ways, it is only the beginning.

My aspiration is simple: to see this sustainable SME business model reach more entrepreneurs across Malaysia, empowering them with the knowledge and strategies needed to build stronger and more resilient businesses.

At the same time, I hope that this framework can eventually be shared within educational institutions, allowing students and future entrepreneurs to learn business principles that are grounded not only in theory but also in proven real-world application.

The digital economy continues to evolve rapidly, and SMEs remain the backbone of economic growth. By equipping entrepreneurs with the right tools, knowledge, and strategies, we can collectively build businesses that are smarter, stronger, and more sustainable for the future.

Thank you once again to Jabatan Pertanian Sarawak, Bahagian Sibu for providing this valuable platform for learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

Let us continue working together to empower the next generation of digital entrepreneurs.
